Help Animals Lives Today also saves pets lives with Transports as far away as Southern California to no-kill organizations who are looking for adoptable dogs and cats. (8 weeks to 5 years old)
The networking and cooperation of these organizations has saved hundreds of unwanted lives in Mohave County.
All pets are given medical exams, basic shots, micro-chipped at most sanctuaries and most importantly, the animals are spayed or neutered before a suitable adoption takes place.
HALT gives all dogs & cats their first two shots (14 days apart) before transport. All current, documented records are sent with each pet to their new destination.
Caring individuals who want to place a pet with us for transport need to foster & have the pet socialized with people & other pets.
HALT is always working to locate other organizations to join this cause to save dog and cat lives from euthanasia at our over-crowded County shelters.
Sadly, we are sometimes unable to accept Chow Chow, Pit Bulls Terriers, Rottweilers or any strong mixes. We are seeking to correct this someday and at this time might be able to assist in a referral to another organization.
We need to find a sanctuary who can help in the rescue of senior pets.
HALT always needs volunteer drivers for these transports. HALT provides van, transportation costs and meals for our volunteers.
We are searching for caring persons to help with the socialization of animals. Interacting, play and walking the pets can make the difference to build back the self-esteem and trust all the pets deserve.
